My name is Teena and I am 45 years of age. I have my own business and am blessed enough to work from home. I live in a nice size house in the most desired part of Elmwood Park. My 26 year old daughter just moved out last month with her fiance' into their new home. This now leaves myself in a house that has too much space. My 15 year old lives with me. Now when you hear a "15 year old" you might think "punk", this is not the case. She is an Honor Roll student and is NOT allowed to "run the streets". On weekdays she comes home, does her chores, homework, dinner, shower and bed. Her father has visitations (not joint custody). So, she is gone every other weekend which now leaves me alone in a house that is to big for two people, let alone one . She is very respectful, helpful to others, and has a kind soul. Some of her chores consist of cleaning up the yard everyday after our 11 lbs dog (a Papillion, Sparky, who is fixed, house broken and very loving) My daughter also cuts the grass and in the winter months shovels the snow etc. The house is large enough that when everyone is home we all still can have privacy and our own space (there are two living areas): The top floor is where mine and my daughters bedrooms are and the full bathroom. The only reason you would need to go up there is to shower. This is something we would need to talk about further but, you would have total privacy. The main floor has a living room, dinning room, kitchen, and than a full furnished den on the opposite side of the living room (with another sofa set and TV), and my private office. The basement is divided in two, to the left of the stairs are where the washer/dryer (which I would only go down there to do laundry and we would talk about which times and days are best for you). The left side also has storage space with built in large closets. Your bedroom is to the right of the stairs where I had it built to code for the daughter that just moved out. That bedroom is the largest of them all (16' x 13') with a private half bath just for your use. The half bath has a new sink, toilet, large mirrored cabinet (vanity) and ceramic floor. In the bedroom there is also a large closet with sliding mirrored doors and two windows that open. How you want to decorate, paint or carpet is up to you. Your bedroom is the only room not furnished but, I do have a queen size off the floor air mattress, TV stand, TV, DVD player, small dresser and chair if you need it. There is a lock on the bedroom door but, there would be no reason for anyone but you to go in there. The yard is a nice size with a patio and seating for eight. I also just built a fire pit area for ten with outdoor cushioned furniture. The other half of the yard is grass and there is a car port if you choose to use it, if not, there is always parking on the street since there are no apartments on the block or blocks around this area. A few things you should know about me.... I consider myself a Christian. Because of my daughter. absolutely no men overnight when she is home (every other weekend). I cannot stress enough how I feel about strange men around her. I am a very private person and keep to myself. This is not a "party house" but, a HOME that WE all can feel safe, comfortable and DRAMA FREE in. As solid as I am on certain things, I am also a very easy going, caring, and a good hearted person. In a person, TRUST and HONESTY are most important to me. Besides my children, I have only lived with two people in my life. My first husband, who is deceased, and my ex (which I lived with for only 9 months). So forgive me if I come across to strong (I REALLY am an easy going person) but I have never done something like this before and I'm a little afraid (to be honest, more than a little).
